"PEDRAFORCA"



Pedraforca is a mountain very beautiful of the Pirineu. It’s in the natural park “Cadí-Moixeró”.
In it there are a lot of animals; the rabbit, squirrel, fox, and more others.
A lot of people go to Pedraforca to climb it, beacuse is a famous mountain in Catalonia and on other countries.
There are two tops on the mountain, making an U.
A legend says long time ago on the top of mountain, every night, some witches dancing and spelling. There were two groups of witches, and there were in war. So one night, the witches were making so noise, then, Sant Miquel down of the heaven and cut the mountain, separating the two groups of witches.

"DELTA DE L'EBRE"


Zone of land, generally of triangular shape, that the alluviums of a river from to this mouth.Now we explain some things about a very important delta ni Spain: Delta de l'Ebre.

Now we explain some things about a very important delta ni Spain: Delta de l'Ebre.
It is in Tarragona province on the coast, of the Mediterranean between the comarques of Low Ebre and the Montsià. This place has got 320km2 of surface and it's made by nature. The flora is very varied and there grow plants suchas salicòrnia, Salsona, donzell, bord.
There are a lot of “ucelli” incluending pelicans and other amazing birds. There are interesting “pesce” and “rettili” too.
Because there many things to protect, now, the zone of the Delta del Ebre has been, considered a protected since 1983. But, the most imprtant problem of it is the humidity.
For the tourist, there are a lot of thing to do. Around or in the park we can see monuments, beaches, culture, gastronomy, crafts, sports, natural spaces and parties.

"MONTSERRAT"

The monastery is Catalonia's most important religious retreat and groups of young people from Barcelona and all over Catalonia make overnight hikes at least once in their lives to watch the sunrise from the heights of Montserrat. Virgin of Montserrat (the black virgin), is Catalonia's favourite saint, and is located in the santuary of the Mare de Deu de Montserrat, next to the Benedictine monastery nestling in the towers and crags of the mountain The Escolania, Montserrat’s Boys’ Choir, is one of the oldest in Europe, and performs during religious ceremonies and communal prayers in the basilica.

The National Park of
"AIGUAMOLLS DE L'EMPORDÀ"







It has been a protected natural area since 1983 and it covers an area of 4824 hectares. This is between the rivers Fluvià and Muga.

"Els aiguamolls de l'Empordà" are the largest Group most important park in Calalunya, after the "Delta de l'Ebre". In the past, it occupied munch of the coastline of the Empordà.

Also, in there, were some rice crops.

It is a place with wild botany such as beach as beache dunes and flooded fields. We can see many types of aquatic birds like: kingfisher or stoks...

It is a nice place to walk with family or friends.

THE NATIONAL PARK OF



“LA GARROTXA”



The Garrotxa Volcanic Zone is situated 100 kilometres to the north of Barcelona.
In a large part of the southern half there are more than 40 volcanoes and various lava flows, forming a gentle countryside without dramatic gradients, which is protected by La Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park. From the Fluvià river valley to the county's northern limits, the landscape changes dramatically. This is the Alta Garrotxa, which is a declared area of natural interest.


THE VOLCANS:

The Garrotxa Volcanic Zone is situated 100 kilometres to the north of Barcelona. There are thirty Strombolian volcanic cones.The last dated eruption occurred 11,500 years ago, thus though volcanic activity has ceased, it cannot be considered to be finally extinct. The thirty or so volcanic cones are in a very good state of natural conservation, considering their age. Most of the craters are visible and consist of cinder material

VEGETATION:



There ara holm oaks are typical on the sunny hillsides of the eastern sector, with relatively dry and hot summers, the oak tree predominates in other parts, and the beech is found in the most humid sectors.
